A NEW casual dining restaurant where almost everything is served on toast will open in Altrincham tomorrow.

TOAST, the brainchild of owner Justin Orange will open with a discretionary payment day from 10am to 4pm where all proceeds will be donated to the Children's Adventure Farm Trust.

His inspiration for the new concept eating experience came from his travels to New York.

The unique menu has been conceptualised by Head Chef Edward Carr (Aumbry, The Fat Duck and Eleven Madison Park in NYC).

Justin Orange said: “Who doesn’t love TOAST? It’s been eighteen months in the making, but it’s been well worth the wait. It’s a beautiful building. We’ve planned everything in detail, so all you have to do is turn up, relax and enjoy.”

The restaurant that serves everything from all day breakfast dishes and light bites, to lunch mains and desserts takes the ground floor of a renovated old bank building, on Stamford New Road.

There will be five different varieties of bread including gluten-free, all freshly baked by the Levenshulme-based family bakery, Trove and complemented by other ingredients that have also come from local producers.

This includes the coffee which is supplied by local roaster Heart and Graft, and from Sale Sharks rugby player, David Seymour, who has provided a special roast from his new company, Couch Grind Coffee.

TOAST’s dishes include: Eggs Benedict, Royale, Florentine, and eggs your way; white crab, with lime juice, rocket and coriander; prawns rolled in sesame seeds, with sweet chilli jam; truffled cheese on toast, with baked egg and truffle oil; egg and chorizo, with chorizo spread and paprika jam; baked vanilla peaches, with Chantilly cream and mascarpone; and marinated strawberries with whipped rosewater ricotta.

There is also a Young Toasties menu where every dish comes with a 25 pence donation to local charity, The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust.

Drinks on offer include smoothies to carefully selected wines, Prosecco, and craft beers and cider.

The restaurant has two distinct areas. The Garden Room entrance, with numerous glass partitions, characterful lighting and fabrics, and main area of TOAST which exposes original architectural details, copper accents, and distinct seating sections, all conceptualized by Justin and realized by Sarah De Freitas, with the idea of creating the perfect laid–back, hangout space for everyone.

Guests to TOAST can also benefits from an al-fresco heated canopied section that can seat up to 16.

Opening hours will be: 8pm – 6pm, Monday – Saturday. For more information & reservations visit www.toastaltrincham.com
