SOAP stars went back in time for the launch of a new multi-million-pound attraction at Event City, near the Trafford Centre.
Bolton's Helen Flanagan, Walkden’s Catherine Tyldesley and Bury’s Nikki Sanderson were among the guests transported back 67million years, with the help of a time machine simulator, to the incredible TimeBase 67 research station at the launch of Dinosaurs in the Wild.

On an amazing voyage of discovery, the celebrities and their children drove with guides through lumbering herds of dangerous dinosaurs, watched a dinosaur autopsy, witnessed hatchlings emerging from eggs and visited The Lookout, with its panoramic views of the teeming prehistoric life.
During the night, Sanderson got close to a baby Dakotaraptor, cooing over it as it hatched out of its shell, and chatted to fellow Hollyoaks star Ashley Taylor Dawson over their favourite dinosaurs.
Later, Tyldesley and Sanderson got their hands dirty along with guest’s children, diving into piles of dinosaur poo to discover the difference between carnivore and herbivore droppings.
While Flanagan stunned in a black tailored jacket and skinny black jeans.
The celebrities also enjoyed dinosaur themed cocktails including a T-rex inspired cocktail with vodka and cranberry.
“After attracting huge crowds for Dinosaurs in the Wild in Birmingham, we look forward to taking Manchester time-travellers back to the Late Cretaceous Period 67 million years ago,” said Creative Director, and producer of TV series Walking With Dinosaurs, Tim Haines.

Producer Jill Bryant added: “We’re confident that it really will amaze people! The time machine is fired up and ready to go – we want to share the adventure with as many families as possible in Manchester.”
