SALE residents are once again hitting out at another spate of vandals in the area.

Residents have noticed large amount of graffiti appearing in Sale, some branded with the name 'bumbag'.

Some of the areas noted by residents are Chester Road and Stanley Mount where vandals have graffitied the side of shops, hotels and road signs.

One resident, who did not wish to be named said: "I'm worried about Sale, this has happened on a number of occasions now. As soon as we fix the problem it just keeps coming back.

"It makes the place look scruffy and untidy - we need to work together in Sale to keep it a nice and safe place to live."

Amey, the firm that works in partnership with Trafford Council carries out tasks such as park and grounds maintenance, street cleaning and waste collections..

A spokesperson for the One Trafford Partnerships said: “Graffiti is frustrating for residents who value where they live and it costs the Council money to remove it; money which could be better used to help protect other essential services. Any graffiti found on public amenities will be removed within 15 working days from when it is reported to us. Offensive graffiti will be removed within 24 hours.

"Graffiti on phone boxes, telecom boxes or along the Bridge Water Canal tow path are the responsibility of the individual organisations and not the One Trafford Partnership. Anyone who sees graffiti on public amenities, can report it online at https://my.trafford.gov.uk or by calling 03330 035865.”
