DETECTIVES searching for a Trafford man wanted for murder are offering a £5,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

Shortly after 11pm on July 20, police were called to Royton Avenue in Sale to reports that a man had been stabbed.

Officers attended and found 34-year-old Mike Grimshaw with a stab wound to his neck.

First aid was administered by officers at the scene before he was taken to hospital where he sadly died.

32-year-old, Tyrone Patrick , from the Trafford area and with links to South Manchester, is wanted in connection with this incident.

A 31-year-old man and a 16-year old boy were arrested on suspicion of murder and have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Detective Inspector Andy Butterworth, of GMPs Major Incident Team, said: “This has been a fast moving enquiry and we have a significant number of officers trying to locate this man.

“We are now offering a £5,000 reward for any information leading to this man’s arrest and I would urge anyone who knows where he is to contact us.

“Assisting an offender is an offence and I want to make it clear that if you are harbouring this man, you could also face prosecution.

“If you know where he is, I would urge you to do the right thing and call us. All information will be treated in the strictest of confidence.

“Members of the public are advised not to approach him but to contact police immediately.

“Anything you know, no matter how big or small, may be a key piece of information in our hunt for this man.”
