IF you have always wanted to learn how to sew, one of the best sewing classes in Manchester is right on your doorstep.

Sew Creative in Altrincham has been named one of the best Sewing Classes in Manchester by Makerist - a digital DIY platform for a massive craft community.

The classes in George Street in Altrincham are run by 31-year-old Kate Proctor.

They said Kate’s sessions were “classes with a difference.”

They liked that each person is able to make whatever they like with as much or as little help as they need.

Customers are able to have one to one tuition throughout the lessons and she caters classes for both adults and children.

They said in their blog: ”The classes are really friendly and there is a real community atmosphere, as people come on a regular basis to classes, everyone gets to know each other.”

The former design technology teacher said: “I was ecstatic when I got the call.

“All I’m doing is something that I love, I never expected to be noticed for it.”

She said since the blog named her one of the best classes in Manchester, she has seen a major increase in the amount of people wanting to learn.

Kate runs her classes Monday to Thursday at several times throughout the day.

She sometimes has a stall in Altrincham Market selling tickets to attend her workshop.
