URMSTON academic Beth Whitton was all smiles after earning a place at a top dental school thanks to an A* and two As in her A Levels.
The 18-year-old Loreto Grammar School pupil will now go up to Leeds University and says modestly: “As it is five years, my first objective is to complete the course.”
Loreto Grammar School headteacher Jane Beever said: “Education is about much more than grade success and I am delighted that our young women have given so much to the wider community.”
Loreto's results were again eye catching with 71 per cent of all grades at either A* or B with 40 per cent at A* or A. A stunning 29 girls achieved straight As with five high flyers getting three A*s or better.
