JASON Manford has appealed to people in Stretford to help find his dad a job.

The comedian from Salford took to Facebook at his “wits end” after his dad was rejected for a job at Aldi.

He said his 62-year-old dad had struggled to find work since losing his job at the crown courts a couple of years ago.

He said in his Facebook post:

“Absolutely crazy watching people close to me trying to get jobs right now. Dad applied for a job at Aldi, he's 62 and after losing his job at the Crown Courts a couple of years ago, just can't stand the idea of not working or sitting on his arse doing nowt.

“He's one of the brightest men I know yet still can't get a job even cleaning floors at Aldi. Madness.

“If anyone's got any ideas where I can send this proud legend of a dad so he can keep out of the house and his brain busy for a few quid a week, lemme know. At my wits end.”

His status flooded with offers and suggestions for his dad.

Paul Hitchen commented: “Jason, we have a building manager role going at my place. Bit of cleaning, repairs, face to face customer service, reporting issues for contractors to attend. Perfect for someone who wants to keep their hand in”

Dave Starkie also commented: “If its bit of part time work we are always on the look out for field assistants helping with our ecology work.”

Other fans commended, suggesting roles at: Supermarkets, airport security and teaching assistant or even just joining a local club.
