PUPILS from Bowdon Church School put their best foot forward - and raised more than £5,000 for a charity.
The entire school took part as pupils ran, skip and walked around the school three times which measured a mile in a fundraising charity challenge for local bereavement charity once upon a smile.
Once Upon a Smile is based in Trafford and supports families after the loss of a parent or children and runs children bereavement support groups across Greater Manchester.
Co-founder and charity manager, Daniel Jillings, said: "It is so fantastic to see the whole school taking part in the smile mile. Bowdon Church school have been a great support of once upon a smile and the money raised will make a huge differences to families we support.”
