STAFF at the Urmston office of retirement apartments developer, Adlington, got 'buzzy' to back ‘We Love Manchester’ Emergency Fund.

The sales team at Adlington’s Urmston development - Dale Johnson, Iryna Karnaukhava and Caroline Parkinson - dressed as Manchester worker bees for a day to raise money for the cause.

their efforts raised £500 and this figure was matched by the firm's head office.

Claire Reede, sales and marketing manager at Adlington, said: “We were devastated about the recent attack on Manchester, and as it’s a community so close to our hearts, we were really keen to do something to show our unity with the city.

"With the worker bee becoming such a renowned symbol as a result of the tragedies of May 22, we felt it only right to make it a part of the fundraising we did for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, and I’m very pleased Adlington is able to contribute to this worthy cause.”

Adlington is currently building an £11m luxury retirement development on Moorside Road in Urmston, which will consist of 55 one, two and three bedroom apartments.
