A SHORT memorial ceremony was held to remember those lost in recent tragedies in Manchester and London was held at the Hale Barns family funfair on Sunday, June 25.
Altrincham and Sale West MP Graham Brady spoke at the event, which raised money for We loveMCR Emergency fund and supported the #WeStandTogether campaign led by the Tim Parry Jonathan Ball Foundation for Peace in Warrington.
The #WeStandTogether campaign is currently supporting some of the families and witnesses directly affected by the Manchester Arena attack
The Mayor, Jonathan Coupe, as well as representatives from the Christian, Jewish and Muslim communities joined the commemoration.
Mr Brady said: ‘This was an important occasion, where members of the local community came together to remember tragic events which will always remain with us.
"It was very well supported by people of all faiths and none and showed that we are determined to stand together for peace.’
The event took place at Hasty Lane, Hale Barns.
