Hospital colleagues, patients and staff are organising a fund-raising event for the Wythenshawe-based charity, Prevent Breast Cancer

The La La Land Charity Ball will be held at the Midland Hotel, Manchester from 7.00pm on Friday June 16. A black tie affair, the party will have a Hollywood glamour theme. Celebrities from across the North-West are expected and all the money raised will go to the charity Prevent Breast Cancer.

The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle is holding the La La Land Ball as part of its 35th anniversary celebrations.

Prevent Breast Cancer funds research for the screening and treatment of breast cancer. Through early diagnosis, screening and promoting lifestyle changes, it has the with the ultimate aim of making breast cancer a preventable disease.

The charity is based at the Nightingale Centre– Europe’s first purpose built breast cancer prevention centre - on the University Hospital of South Manchester complex in Wythenshawe.
