ON Sunday, friends and staff from Timperley's Pictor Academy will be running the Great Manchester Run10k in support of their friend Leigh Webber (far right).
She was diagnosed with lung cancer in February and had half her lung removed shortly after. Despite this, she has been determined to help others, and managed to persuade a group of friends to join her in the Manchester 10k to raise funds for two local children's charities, Leisure for Autism and Kidscan.
Twenty members of Team Pictor will be running on Sunday.
A team members said: "She truly is an amazing person with a big heart. She has trained hard but will need the support of the crowds so please look out for the black T-shirts and funny headbands and give us a cheer .
"We are running in the last wave, the pink wave, at 3 o'clock. Anybody who would like to sponsor us, can visit our justgiving, crowdfunding page."
