BUDENBURGS' Jeff Chapman made the most of home advantage to book a place in the Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts League's Captain's Cup final on Monday.
Chapman beat Central Club's Darren Wood in a tight game, coming from 2½-½ down to win on the bull in the final leg.
He will face Timperley Cons' Paul Andrews in next week's final.
In the vets' competition for the 55s and overs, also at Budenburgs, there was some real quality.
In the first semi-final it was Terry Tansey against Rob Downes, both British Rail players, and the latter took the win to book his final spot.
In the other semi-final, Nigel Beeton, also of British Rail, beat Graham Mathers from Budenburgs.
Both finals take place on Monday night at the Central Club in Broadheath.
