TRAFFORD’S Chill Factore is pumping half a million pounds £500,000 investment into a complete revamp.

Work started on the indoor ski centre's renovation last week, which will see a refit of its changing village and installation of fresh, new snow on its 180m slope.

The changing area, which welcomes half a million visitors annually, will be transformed into a state-of-the-art environment, complete with a whole new layout.

Designed to reduce congestion during busy periods, the planned investment will improve the guest experience, making it quicker and easier for guests to collect equipment for the slopes and head out for lessons.

The four-stage project will include the installation of a brand-new rentals desk, which hires out 130,000 pairs of skis and 70,000 snowboards annually. A full redesign, including new flooring, will be fitted whilst the changing village remains fully operational.

Until May 26, the 180m real snow slope at Chill Factore will be undergoing maintenance work to remove existing snow from the slope and be replaced with approximately 900 tonnes of fresh snow.

This will be completed in stages to ensure that the slope remains open as normal, minimising disruption for guests.

Morwenna Angove, CEO at Chill Factore, said: “Chill Factore is committed to creating unforgettable memories and fun for all the family, as well as providing the perfect facilities to nurture the next talented generation of skiers and snowboarders. This major investment in our Changing Village and slope will create a first-class environment from start to finish and help to make every customer’s experience more memorable and enjoyable.

“We’re extremely excited to see the transformation completed and look forward to welcoming guests to enjoy the high-quality experience that is at the heart of Chill Factore.”

Renovations will continue until Friday July 7. Chill Factore will remain fully operational to guests.
