TRAM services are returning to normal, after an unsafe building in the city centre caused widespread disruption earlier this afternoon.

At around 4.30pm, transport bosses confirmed that Metrolink services resumed travelling through the city centre, after Mosley Street reopened to traffic and pedestrians.

The road was closed this afternoon due to an unsafe building, which has since been assessed and made safe.

Metrolink said it apologised for any inconvenience during the closure.

Customers should expect some minor delays over the next hour as the service resumes and are advised to allow longer for their journeys during this time.
