POLICE officers are warning of the danger of leaving dogs in hot cars after an incident in Altrincham this morning.
Earlier today, Tuesday, officers were made aware of a dog being left in Sainsbury’s car park.
Worried staff at Sainsbury’s tried to track down the owner, with temperatures reaching 17C. The owner eventually returned to the car and thankfully, the dog was found to be ok.
A spokesperson for GMP Trafford South said: “We have advised the dog owner of the dangers of leaving a dog in a hot vehicle, we may think there's a cool breeze out there today, but there's no breeze in a closed car in direct sunlight.”
