MOTORISTS are warned to take care and to find alternative routes as fallen trees are blocking several roads in Trafford as Storm Dorris batters the borough.
Police officers issued diversion alerts across the south of the borough this afternoon.
This follows the closure of Altrincham Police Station for health and safety reasons, after high winds caused roof tiles to dislodge and crashed to the ground earlier today.
Thankfully no-one was hurt.
Fallen trees are blocking Northenden Road, in Sale, Whitehouse Lane, in Dunham, Manor Avenue, in Sale, Burlington Road, in Altrincham, Raglan Road, in Sale, Park Road, in Hale, Briarlands Road, in Sale, Barkers Lane, in Sale, and Shay Lane, in Hale, and Whalley Road, in Hale.
There is also a large branch blocking half of the road in Grosvenor Road/Navigation Road, in Altrincham, with more debris from the tree likely to fall.
Officers said that Trafford Council have been made aware of the incidents, however as they are dealing with a large volume of trees down across the borough, the road blocks may take some while to clear.
