POLICE are asking shed owners to be vigilant after a spike in break-ins in the south of the borough recently.

Officers said that several reports of shed break-ins have been reported to them in the past week.

On its Facebook page, GMP Trafford South urged: “If you have a shed or garage, fit a good quality, heavy duty padlock and make sure any valuable items are locked up again inside the shed with locked chains to other items or to a floor lock.”

If you witness any suspicious behaviour, contact the police on 101.
