Mattress set alight sparks flat fire in Stretford
A FLAT fire was sparked after a mattress was set alight in Stretford at the weekend.
Three crews were called to reports of a flat fire in Talbot Road shortly before 3.30pm on Sunday February 12.
On arrival, crews were met with a fire involving a mattress inside a ground floor flat. They used two breathing apparatus, one ventilation fan, a door ram and hose reel to extinguish it.
They were at the scene for 90 minutes.
No casualties were reported.
