AN informal meeting is being held in Gorse Hill to pinpoint the issues problems and situations facing middle-aged people in the area.

Gorse Hill residents aged between 45 and 65 are being invited to a conversation and free meal, where they can discuss a range of issues.

The Centre for Local Economic Strategies, together with the Learning and Work Institute, has been commissioned by the Centre for Ageing Better to consult and engage with residents, to better understand people’s situations with regards to work, barriers to work, job insecurity, unemployment or other commitments.

The centre wants to do this work by talking to residents, listening to their experiences and needs, and by working with them to develop solutions. The event takes place at Target Cafe, Gorse Hill Methodist church, Wesley Street, Gorse Hill, on Thursday, January 26 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

Places are limited. Please contact Atiha on 07780 514 143 or email amygrace@cles.org.uk to let them know you if would like to come along.

After this event, the centre will be looking to continue to work with residents to explore potential solutions to the problems identified.
