A PAN of food that had been left on the hob when the resident went out sparked a house fire in Stretford at the weekend.
Shortly after 8pm on Saturday January 14, crews were called to a blaze at a house in Glastonbury Road.
A pan of food had been left on the cooker and the resident had left the house. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and high pressure fans to clear smoke.
Crews were dealing with the incident for around half an hour.
