THE company behind a proposal to turn a rundown farm into a rural hub and country pub on the edge of Altrincham has also set its sights on transforming a nearby redundant property.

TEM Property (TEM) has drawn up plans to turn Stock Farm, just outside Hale, into a wedding, conference and events venue.

The disused former agricultural buildings, in Ashley Road, off Cow Lane, has been the target of antisocial behaviour and suffered fire damage in the past.

The announcement comes just days after plans were revealed to turn Millington Hall Farm, which sits four miles to the west of Stock Farm, into a “rural hub and pub”.

The Millington Hall Farm proposals include a traditional Brunning & Price country pub, several independent high end retailers, potentially a parish room, a children’s playground and/or visitor accommodation.

Carol Clarke, head of planning and engagement at TEM Property, said: “Our exciting plans for Stock Farm would see currently unused buildings transformed into a desirable location for weddings, conferences and other bespoke events and we are eager to hear the views of local people ahead of submitting a planning application.

“These proposals would create new jobs for local people on a brownfield site, along with local supplier opportunities for the valuable rural economy, and we are confident that Stock Farm will become a unique and popular event space.

“Detailed consideration is being given to a number of highway and soundproofing options and we welcome thoughts on these.”

A drop-in consultation event will be held at Stock Farm on Tuesday January 17, between 2pm and 7pm.

The TEM Property team will be on hand throughout the event to answer any questions about the proposals.

From January 17, a project webpage can be found at temproperty.com/current-consultations.
