A REAL Housewives of Cheshire star is set to launch Hale Barns' inaugural Christmas Market this weekend.

The village is set to transform on Saturday and Sunday, December 10 to 11, as it hosts its first Christmas market.

RHOC star Lauren Simon and Trafford Mayor Judith Lloyd will be kicking off festivities by cutting the ribbon at 11am on Saturday.

The market, sponsored by Fox restaurant, will have more than 40 stalls, with an outdoor food and drink market and indoor gift and craft hall.

It will also feature a giant snow globe, zorbing, decoration making, giant inflatables and even an 8ft Santa for selfies.

There will be plenty of live entertainment, from West End stars and tribute acts to pop acts and bands.

Radio station Trafford Sound will be broadcasting from the event and several celebrities are expected to attend.

Holy Angels Church will be hosting a Christmas display, with dozens of trees decorated by community groups and schools.

The market, which takes place 11am to 6pm both days, has been organised by a group of volunteers. Profits raised will be going back into the community.
