STOCKDALES is hoping to get Sale in the festive mood next week with a jam-packed fair featuring ponies, facepainting and of course, Father Christmas.

The Sale-based disability charity will be holding its annual Christmas fair on Sunday November 27 from 12.30pm – 3pm.

The event, which takes place at the charity’s main site at 34 Harboro Road, will offer an afternoon of family friendly entertainment, beginning with a performance from Wellfield Infants School Choir, followed by the Salvation Army brass band.

There will be pony rides from Merrylegs Ponies, face painting, Santa’s grotto, market-style stalls selling gifts and plants, homemade cakes, tombolas, a Christmas Draw and festive food and drinks. Entry to the fair is £1 for adults and 50p for children over two.

Natalie James, fundraising manager at Stockdales, said: “We’d love to welcome people to come and be merry at our Christmas Fair. It’s always a lovely festive event, popular with our supporters, friends and family. The children particularly love it.

“It’s a great opportunity for people to celebrate a special time of year and help to raise funds for Stockdales. Come along and pick up the odd gift or two, whilst enjoying a mulled wine and mince pie. What could be better?”

Stockdales is also asking people to donate gift items for its stalls and unopened and in date bottles for itsbottle tombola.
