A SIX week public consultation is underway, on revised draft conservation area management plan for South Hale.

Council chiefs are encouraging as many people as possible to get involved and give their comments and views during the consultation period, which lasts until November 28.

Individual letters have already been sent to residents affected by the documents and all other registered interested parties are being informed.

The two documents will, when adopted, provide guidance for property owners or occupiers to ensure historic features are protected and/or enhanced within the conservation area. Guidance is also given for owners who want to make changes to their properties.

Although the Council consulted on these documents last year further revisions to the boundaries of the conservation area have been made as a result of a further study.

A drop-in session has been arranged so people can come and discuss the draft Area Appraisal and draft Management Plan with officers from the Council. This is at: Hale Library on November 1, between 5pm and 6.30pm The documents are also available for public inspection: • On disc at all public libraries/Access Trafford offices during normal opening hours.
