AN elderly man had his teeth knocked out after asking thugs to quieten down on a bus.

The attack, described by police as ‘horrific’, took place after the Manchester United vs Leicester City at Old Trafford on Saturday September 24.

At around 7pm, two men were shouting, swearing and singing football songs on the number 15 bus from Manchester City Centre to Urmston.

A 70-year-old fellow passenger asked them to stop and one of the men punched him in the face, knocking out three teeth and causing injuries to his jaw.

The man was taken to hospital to be treated.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested.
