I AGREE that nothing regarding Brexit is certain but so far every doom-laden forecast has been proven to be wrong.

The way the economy has improved, the fact that Jean Claude Juncker is worryingly now saying he wants NO borders across the whole of Europe when everybody else is talking about reintroducing them, the fact that most EU leaders are now openly saying Britain will get a good deal (because it would hurt them as much as us if we didn’t get one) and the fact that 27 countries around the world are already, after only a few weeks, queuing-up to do trade deals with us surely tells us there is nothing to fear? Add to that a potential Commonwealth Trading Alliance to give us trade access to a quarter of the world’s population!

Then you’ve got the utter certainty of, had we remained, endless integration, endless laws and rules imposed upon us, diminishing powers of our own government, no control over our borders and the resultant mass immigration and you’ve got even more reasons why we just have to leave the EU.

By all accounts, several other EU nations are close to demanding what we demanded and, when they don’t get it, what is going to happen? More countries wanting to leave. Several other nations – France, Belgium, Holland, etc. - are even talking to us about starting a North Sea Trading Alliance so does that sound as if the EU has a future?

As for remaining to renegotiate, the EU leadership told us right from the off that they will NEVER give ground on what we want so what is the point of remaining whilst they refuse to budge and, in the meantime, they drag us further down the road to a unified Europe! Sorry, no thanks!

And, as for what Norway got, we are fifth biggest economy in the world and will get a good deal because of that and because the EU can’t afford to not trade with us!
