THE LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre in Manchester is on the hunt for the most talented LEGO® builders around to take part in its first ever model building challenge, Brick Factor.

Taking place on August 26 at the Orient Main Stage at intu Trafford Centre, between 11am – 3pm, the Brick Factor is a free, fun, creative event for anyone aged between six and eight years old.

An event aimed at engaging children in the fun of LEGO model building, Brick Factor is a LEGO speed building challenge. Every half an hour, 10 contestants will have 10 minutes to build something you would find in a city.

Be it a skyscraper, a car, a train, a bus, a theatre or a canal boat, children will be encouraged to create anything they like and each model will be judged by a panel of experts including LEGOLAND Discovery Centre’s very own Master Model Builder. The best model builder in every round will win a LEGO prize on the day, plus all runners up will each receive a prize for taking part. The event will be hosted from 11am – 2pm by Brett Harris from Heart North West and from 2-3pm, Heart North West Drive Time presenter Russ Morris will be there.

What’s more, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is also expecting to welcome its two millionth visitor and the lucky guest who marks the occasion will win the package of a lifetime worth more than £1,250.

In celebration of this fantastic milestone, the family attraction is offering the lucky winner a year’s unlimited access to the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre and a year’s free entry to 32 Merlin attractions with a Premium Merlin Annual Pass for them and their family. On the day the winner will also receive a VIP Master Model Builder Experience, free refreshments, free photos, plus free entry and a bag of goodies worth £500 from the on-site LEGO shop.
