Pensioner attacked after being followed home from suspected road rage incident
A PENSIONER suffered serious facial injuries after a motorist followed him home from a suspected road rage incident in Altrincham and attacked him.
Police were called at 7.40pm on Tuesday after a dispute broke out between the victim and another motorist in Altrincham.
The 70-year-old victim was then followed to his home in the Broomedge area of Lymm.
He was then assaulted outside his home and taken to Wythenshawe Hospital, where he was treated for serious facial injuries. Following an investigation a 47-year-old man was arrested and later charged with assault.
The suspect from Winstanley will appear at South Cheshire Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
