READER John Hancock took this photograph of a parakeet at Chorlton Water Park.
He said: "The resident Parakeets were very active near to the bird feeding area. In total four birds were spotted.
"The parakeets are becoming a problem in some areas where they take over nesting hole and affect the breeding woodpeckers.
"At the moment these parakeets are a novelty and have lovely colouring. It will be interesting how long it will take before the novelty becomes a nuisance."
