A PARTY celebrating the 68th birthday of the NHS will be held in Urmston this weekend.

Trafford General is famous for being the birthplace of the NHS in 1948.

On Saturday July 2, a ‘Party in the Park’ will be held Golden Hill Park from 12-4pm.

Singer Wayne Devlin will be acting MC and live acts include Small Weller and Lostock, Michelle, Karen Harvey, Dave Gorman and Kurt Powell.

The Mayor of Trafford Judith Lloyd will be attending and there will be a bouncy castle, ice cream, and face-painting on the day.

Visitors can also bring along a picnic.
