ON July 2 and 3, a team of 58 Myerson staff and their friends and families are taking part in the National 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for St Ann’s Hospice and Trafford Deaf Children’s Society.

The Altrincham law firm team is aiming to conquer Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in what has been described as one of the UK’s toughest challenges.

On completion, the Myerson team will have walked a total distance of 25.6 miles and climbed a total height of 2,932 metres.

The Myerson walkers have been training hard and have recently completed training walks up and down Snowdon and Scafell Pike in rain, wind and occasionally sunshine.

The reason Myerson have chosen to raise money for St Ann’s Hospice and Trafford Deaf Children’s Society is because both charities provide support to the local community without any government funding and therefore rely solely on donations.

There are also various members of staff at Myerson who have personal connections to the two charities. This will be Myerson’s way of saying THANK YOU for all that they do.

St Ann’s Hospice deliver round the clock care for families and their carers who are affected by life limiting illnesses.

Trafford Deaf Children’s Society supports babies, children and young people with all levels of hearing loss living in the Trafford area.

Thanks to the generosity of staff, friends, family, clients and contacts of Myerson, over £10,000 has already been raised.

As a co-sponsor, Myerson were also able to raise funds for their challenge at the recent Boodles Tennis at The Mere event, which took place at The Mere Golf Resort & Spa (15th to 17th June).

Over the course of the event an impressive £7,000 was raised.

Donation cheques were presented to representatives from Myerson and St Ann’s Hospice by ex-tennis legends, Henri Leconte, Thomas Enqvist, Mikael Pernfors and Xavier Mallise. Myerson is hoping to raise further donations during the course of the week before the firm travels to Ben Nevis to start the Three Peaks Challenge.
