TRAFFORD’S new freejumping park is in full swing after getting the thumbs up from James Bond star Sebastien Foucan.

Oxygen has opened a new trampoline park at the Soccerdome in Trafford Park.

The launch event on Friday June 10 was attended by freerunning founder and Casino Royale star, Sebastien Foucan, and double world champion gymnast Kat Driscoll.

Oxygen also welcomed local dignitaries for a drinks reception and official ribbon cutting, followed by a number of performances on the trampolines.

Oxygen CEO, David Stalker, said: “It was fantastic to celebrate the launch of our new park in Manchester by welcoming locals to see what it’s all about. Sebastien and Kat are great to have on board to show everyone exactly what freejumping means to them and how much fun you can have whilst doing it.”

Before it opened doors to the public, Oxygen held a preview day for 100 students from schools and nurseries in the surrounding area.

Judith Finch, head of PE at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls School, said: “It was brilliant to see all the different kinds of activities that the children can enjoy at the new park – and also great that we have an area to relax whilst the Oxygen team takes over.

“The students were having that much fun, they were exercising without even knowing it. Everyone really enjoyed being the first to bounce and I’m sure the children will be back here with parents and friend very soon.”

More activities will become available at the park during the summer, including fitness classes, dodgeball tournaments, school of trampolining, Foucan Freerunning Academy and DJ nights.
