AN intruder was scared off by a panic alarm during an attempted burglary in Timperley last night.

The would-be burglar was confronted by a home owner after breaking into a house on Brooklands Road at around 9pm on Sunday, June 26.

He demanded she handed over the keys but the resident’s husband sounded a panic alarm and the intruder fled through the back window he came in through.
