FORTY young people of different faiths gathered together to say no to division and create a peace mural together.
The event, on November 22, was organised by the Altrincham Interfaith Youth as part of a series of events for Interfaith Week.
The young people completed a geometric piece of art together. Saba Rifat created the geometric design to represent the interconnectedness of communities and societies. n addition to this, young people wrote prayers for peace on postcards.
Sara Saigol, who leads the youth group said: "The last few weeks have been a challenging time for everyone, and there are those who have tried to use recent horrific events to divide communities, but the message from the young people was clear; in order for us to combat hatred we have to work together for the common good."
Ideas for future Altrincham Interfaith Youth events were also shared, many of which involved food, sport and there was even mention of interfaith dating.
