A STRETFORD-based animal charity is inviting families and fans of the festive season to its annual Christmas fundraiser this weekend.

The Society for Abandoned Animals, based at Mosely Acre Farm, will be holding the event at the Greenfield Church, in Urmston, on Saturday November 28 from 12pm to 4pm.

There will be craft stalls, raffles, cakes, as well as a visit from ‘Santa Paws’.

Christine O’Rourke, trustee at Society for Abandoned Animals, said: “Our Christmas Fair is extremely popular, and this one promises to be even bigger and better than previous years, with a whole host of additional activities.

“In addition to enjoying games and entertainment on offer, visitors can meet Father Christmas, all while making a difference to a local cause.”

Admission is £1 for adults and 50p for children and all proceeds will contribute towards to rescue centre.
