ALTRINCHAM mum, and entrepreneur, Becs Jeffery, has earned herself a place in the final line-up of The Mumpreneur Awards, an annual ceremony aimed at celebrating parents throughout the UK who manage the difficult task of juggling business with family life.

The mother of one runs Fi & Becs Design & Marketing alongside her sister Fi based in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Working as a partnership of two creative sisters, Fi & Becs provide flexible branding, design, copywriting and marketing services for businesses all over the UK and worldwide.

Becs has been shortlisted for the Boost category, which is open to businesses who can demonstrate high growth against the odds whether that is financially, by business size or expanded their market. Having launched Fi & Becs in October 2013 Becs hopes she has what it takes to walk away with the prize.

Having only started 2 years ago, Fi & Becs have already built up an impressive portfolio of over 90 clients including many businesses in the Altrincham, South Manchester and Cheshire area. Ranging from bookshops to dentists, farm shops to housing associations; in the last 12 months they also beat competition from larger marketing agencies to win two big contracts copywriting for Matalan and designing products for Mothercare.

Becs said: “I am so delighted that we’ve been recognised by the Mumpreneur Awards as a business of extraordinary growth. When we started Fi & Becs we never expected it to grow so quickly but we’ve found many businesses all over the UK who can’t afford large design agencies and simply want friendly, approachable marketing services at a reasonable price.”

“Our working hours fit in really well with smaller companies who need to run their business during the daytime, and they allow us to manage our workload alongside being Mums and picking up the kids everyday at 3pm.”

* The result will be announced on November 14.
