TRIBUTES have been paid to a former hospital and care home worker who spent most of her live in Davyhulme.
Susan Murphy died last month after an illness, and her funeral is being held on Friday at Manchester Crematorium at 11.20am.
Mrs Murphy, nee Counsel, was born in Manchester before her family moved to Stretford.
She married the late David Murphy, and lived in Sevenoaks Avenue, Davyhulme, for 37 years.
The couple had two children, Andy and Tony, and Mrs Murphy worked at the former Park Hospital, now Trafford General, and then at Katherine Lowe House in Urmston.
Her son, Andy, said: "Mum sadly passed away on September 25. She may be gone but she is not forgotten."
Mrs Murphy's service will be followed by a wake at the Nag's Head, Davyhulme Circle, at 12.30pm.
