THE body of a man found in Trafford has been identified as that of missing man, Robert Everett.

Robert hadn’t been seen since Sunday, August 30, when his car was found parked in the Lostock area of Stretford.

His family friends launched an appeal to trace him on social media over the bank holiday weekend.

But police later confirmed that a man’s body had been found in Stretford.

A GMP spokesman said: “Shortly before 8:20am on Monday, August 31, police attended a wooded area close to Audley Avenue, Stretford and found the body of a 40-year-old man.

“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a file has been prepared for the coroner.”

In a Facebook tribute on Monday evening, partner Julie Adams said: “Completely overwhelmed by all the love & support from you all!!

“I just wish Rob could have seen it!!

“I am missing him like crazy, my hearts broken!! I'm sure he is at peace now with his beloved mum, Mary.

“Thank you so much for all your kind words!!! Means so much!! RIP My sweet!! Until we meet again!! Xxxx”

He had last been seen around 1pm on Sunday, when his car was found parked Stretford.
