FORMER Manchester United player, Gary Neville, has offered the free use of Hotel Football for the borough's biggest jobs fair next month.

Around 50 local businesses, will be offering over 500 local job opportunities at the event, based at Hotel Football.

Neville, one of the owners of Hotel Football, agreed to host the event free of charge to show the hotel’s support for helping local people in to jobs.

The fair will see another four local business - Amey, Omni Facilities Management, AD Merchandise and Asda - sign up to the Trafford Pledge, which matches local unemployed people with jobs.

Cllr Michael Young, deputy leader of Trafford Council, said: "We are committed to working with other agencies, partners and businesses to improve job opportunities for local unemployed people. “It has been so encouraging to see the huge difference the Pledge has made in providing 400 jobs so far.”

“I would like to thank all the businesses attending the fair and signing up to the Pledge, as well as Hotel Football for their kind sponsorship of the event.”

Christoph Hoffman, director from Omni Facilities Management, added: “We are delighted to be signing the pledge. We are looking forward to getting in touch with local jobseekers, offer job vacancies to local people and make a difference to their lives and our business.”

Joe Stafford, Amey’s account director for Trafford, said: “We are committed to supporting local people into work and are delighted to be signing the Trafford Pledge.

“We want to recruit talented people who bring a fresh approach to delivering services across Trafford and our apprenticeship programme will allow us to continually invest in the future generation to develop their careers.”
