THE Timperley-based charity group the 33 held its annual bowls competition at the LMRCA Club, Navigation Road, Altrincham, on August 9.
Vic Burke retained his title, while the guest trophy went to Dave Hulme.
The prestigious Mug’s Medal was a three-way split for the first time ever. Dave Howard, Pete Cummins and John Stevenson have the honour of possessing the award for four months each.
The bowls event, held in glorious sunshine, was superbly organised by Alan Jones and well supported by the 20 bowlers and their families.
The 33 continues its 70th year celebrations with a visit from ‘Elvis’ on Thursday (today) and is preparing its stall for the Timperley Country Fair on Saturday September 12.
