POLIVE have released CCTV footage of a van whose driver may hold vital information about the shooting of Andre Marshall in Urmston.

The van had to brake hard to avoid a silver BMW that pulled out of Manor Avenue into Stretford Road at 12.45am in the early hours of Wednesday 20 May.

Later that morning, shortly before 7.30am, police were called to Manor Park, where they found the body of Andre Marshall lying in the road next to a car.

The 29-year-old had died from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and leg.

Detective chief inspector Sarah Jones, of GMP’s major incident team, said: "We have released CCTV footage of a white van driving in the area and we are keen to speak to the driver.

“The van had to brake heavily to avoid colliding with a silver BMW that pulled out from Manor Avenue onto Stretford Road at 12.45am in the early hours of Wednesday 20 May.

"I want to stress that they are not a suspect, but may be able to help us with enquiries.

"We hope that this might jog someone's memory if you were driving a white van in the area at that time.

“Even the smallest piece of information may be vital and I would urge to come forward if you remember anything."
