THE Trafford Centre was home to a real menace on Monday - in the shape of one of the Beano's most enduring characters.
Dennis the Menace (pictured) was causing chaos around the retail and leisure complex and launched a series of Beano themed events.
Kev Sutherland, one of the Beano's cartoonists, will hold a comic art masterclass on July 30, when visitors can learn from a master how to create their own comic strip.
Other events include Design a Comic Book at the Bandstand on July 31 from 11am to 5pm and the Dennis the Menace Squad will be playing pranks around the Centre on August 3 at noon, 2pm and 4pm.
Visitors who join in the fun will receive a complimentary copy of the Beano.
Caroline Aikman, marketing manager at the Trafford Centre said, “The Beano is taking over intu Trafford Centre to kick start our summer – and we can’t wait for the pranks, jokes and mischief. With a wealth of cartoon madness whatever day you visit you can be sure to have fun.”
