THE multi-award winning Altrincham Creative Theatre School has done it again.
The group has just finished competing in the One Act Play Festival season and has won three awards and a certificate of merit for their work.
The junior section, ACT I, has performed a comedy written and directed by one of their tutors John Banks entitled Panto Inc. This won three awards, two for Best Junior Play and a Best Supporting Actress Award for student Sophie Parker.
The youth section, ACT II and their director Valerie Harris gained a Certificate of Merit for their production of another comedy Melons in the Parsonage by Nick Warburton.
Head Tutor Valerie Harris said “Once again hard work, dedication and commitment by the students has paid off. Contrary to what people think comedy is very hard to do well. The students have again impressed people with their talent and reaped the rewards. My tutors and I are very proud of each and every one of them."
Auditions for new members take place in September and anyone interested in finding out more should email Valerie Harris, at info@acts4u.org.uk or visit actsdrama.wordpress.com.
