A NEW survey has shown that drivers get irked most by other drivers failing to use their indicators.
The survey, which takes no account of what pedestrians might think about the lack of a driver's indicator, suggests that the biggest gripe (34 per cent) by motorists, is lack of indicators by other thoughtless drivers.
The figures for city drivers, not performing a move that they would see them fail a driving test, is even higher, with 44 per cent of urban motorists attributing their own road rage to a lack to indicate by city drivers.
The survey which involved 1,000 motorists was carried out by Car Finance 2 Go, which suggests cuts in policing were leading to a spike in accidents with a lack of indicators a factor.
The results were:
• Drivers who don’t indicate: 34.30 per cent
• Speeding drivers: 16.65 per cent
• Rush hour traffic: 5.44 per cent
• Driving too slowly: 15.02 per cent
• Cyclists: 9.10 per cent
• Bad parking: 5.10 per cent
• Back-seat drivers: 4.39 per cent
