SINGERS are wanted to join Altrincham Choral Society for a day - under the charismatic leadership of Steven Roberts.
Come and Sing with ACS is being held at St Mary’s Bowdon, on September 12. Music will be provided and advance booking for this event is essential.
This year’s work has been chosen to celebrate renowned composer John Rutter’s 70th Birthday. It is Feel the Spirit – a cycle of spirituals for choir.
Steven said: “You can enjoy the jazzy notes and syncopated rhythms of this fabulous and fun work! Come and Sing Feel the Spirit!”
The day starts at 10am and culminates in a free performance at 5.30pm, with donations invited for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Bowdon Festival chairman, Susan Sinagola said:“Bowdon Festival is delighted to once again host ACS’s Come & Sing day. In previous years we have attracted almost 200 singers and everyone has enjoyed a full day of practice, good company, delicious teas and the satisfaction of a closing concert. However places are limited, so people are encouraged to book their place now”.
