THE Kafkaesque World which Trafford councillors inhabit seems to be flourishing : having built a modern hospital in the centre of town with no adequate parking facilities, they have decided to solve the problem by putting up the parking charges in the vicinity.

I suppose the logic is that if you go to an NHS hospital, then as you cannot afford private medicine, then you cannot afford a car, therefore do not need a parking facility: simple?

The landscaping now is spreading like a disease into George Street: an area which was relaid only a few years ago is being dug up to align with the area in Shaws Street, which was relaid in 1990,which has also been dug up.Where will it all end?

Goose Green is supposed to be finished on July 17: judging by the way that work is done, this might possibly mean July 2016, rather in the way that the interchange was supposed to be complete in August 2014.

One might ask if ANY of this expense is justifiable?

People do not come to Altrincham to shop. The Trafford Centre killed Altrincham as a shopping centre.

The reason that people live in Altrincham is because of transport to Manchester, grammar schools, and proximity to the airport.T

Trafford Council, and Altrincham Forward, would be better occupied in getting what were shops and offices, converted to residential accommodation and car parks!
