THE boss of a luxury development in Wilmslow has spoken after approval was given by Cheshire East Council

The multi-million pound Chapelwood development plan, by PegasusLife, at Alderley Road, will see the construction of 57 apartments and adjoining facilities in an effort, the firm says, is to re-think the provision of living space for elderly people.

Chapelwood will include one, two and three-bedroom apartments in two red brick pavilions, designed in a striking contemporary style reminiscent of some of Cheshire’s grandest manor-houses.

Howard Phillips, CEO, PegasusLife, said: “Chapelwood offers the chance to live in a great location in a beautifully designed home.

"We wanted to create somewhere that reflects the character of Wilmslow whilst capturing the sense of history and tradition that makes it so unique.

"We’re privileged to have the opportunity to create something special that will help people get what they want from life.”

PegasisLife says the area surrounding the buildings will be characterised by existing mature trees and shaded woodland, alongside landscaped lawns and gardens. The design will help Chapelwood’s appearance and atmosphere to reflect the changing seasons.

Those living at Chapelwood will also be able to use an on-site sauna, gym, hydrotherapy pool and treatment rooms, amongst other facilities, all designed to help promote people’s health and wellbeing.

A restaurant and lounge will open directly onto a central lawn, offering opportunities to enjoy a drink with neighbours or to dine with friends next to the gardens.
