ORGANISERS are gearing up for this weekend's show which barring rain should go off with a hitch.

The canine event on the grounds of Wilmslow High School on Sunday, between 11am and 5pm, is sponsored by dog groomers Barkers.

The dog show is one of many events being held on the field to keep it as Wilmslow's premier family attraction in 2015

The Barkers team, from its shop and spa located on Alderley Road, will be attending the show to provide grooming tips and advice as well as competitions and giveaways.

What’s more, the local canine community will have two opportunities throughout the day to take part in the store’s ‘Temptation Alley’, an assault course, filled with tempting treats such as bones and balls.

Any lucky pup to make it from one side of the course to the other will be treated to a Barkers goodie bag.

All proceeds will go towards Animal Support Volunteers and Dogs for the Blind.

Store manager, Claire Phillips, said: “The Wilmslow Show is always a great event to get everyone in the community together.

It’s the 103rd show so we feel honoured to be getting involved and offering support to this great event.

“There will be plenty of competitions and giveaways for the canine community at the Barkers stand and our spa manager will be on hand to offer grooming tips and advice for anyone who would like to give their barker a special pampering treat.”
