ALTRINCHAM tennis professional, Hollie Bees, is among a select group of female coaches selected to deliver Judy Murray’s new programme, Miss Hits.

Aimed at encouraging girls to play tennis, the programme pioneered by Andy Murray’s mother, Judy has chosen a handful of the most highly-respected UK women coaches to take part in the initiative.

Designed to transform how girls aged from five to eight perceive sport, Miss Hits is a nationally recognised project that is now being embraced throughout schools, community halls, sports centres and tennis clubs nationwide.

Following a training day with Judy, Hollie, a Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) Level 4 Senior Performance Coach, will now be able to offer the innovative scheme coaching in Trafford.

Hollie said: “I am thrilled to be taking part in this inspirational initiative that is helping young girls across the country see the fun side in sport.

“We certainly had a great time testing out the sessions, I think it’s so important that we all commit to new ways of getting young girls interested in sport.”
